In DUNE Eearth still exists, but I wonder if it's still inhabitated. Because it is mentioned that during the Butlerian Jihad Earth was nuked but in the Appendix of DUNE ist says that the chorum that wrote the O.K.-Bible did it on an island on Earth.

I guess one of the upcoming interquels will explain if Earth was reseeded.

At least that happened in Dune Encyclopedia.

sounds logical....would be interesting to know the 'current status' of Earth and its status within the Imperium before the Jihad of Paul.
