Flatsigned books by Frank Herbert are precious. But what about books sold/auctioned off INSCRIBED/PERSONALIZED to someone? Anyone here doesn't mind adding those to his/her collection? I happen to have bought a used, tattered copy The Book of Frank Herbert a few days ago from this thrift shop in NYC; I needed a reading copy. Lo, and behold! When I got home and opened to the title page, it was signed! Unfortunately, it's inscribed to someone named Mark.
I was thinking of selling it after I'm done enjoying the 10 short stories. Do signed books inscribed to anyone have a market as far as FH books are concerned?
Anyone here doesn't care about an inscribed/personalized book as long as it has Frank Herbert's signature? Lemme hear your thoughts, ya'll!

I agree with your opinion - flatsigned copies are more precious. But inscribed copies also have their value. I have luckily purchased two first editions copies of Dune inscribed for Michael. And I'm Michael too Also I have 3 Legends of Dune inscribed for famous person.

That's pretty awesome. Few people have two inscribed DUNE books by Frank. Let alone two first editions. _________________ Freakin' Meow!

And Heretics of Dune is very odd because it has 2 inscriptions and 2 autographs of Frank - they are identical on two separate pages. |
Hmm. Never heard of him ever doing that before. _________________ Freakin' Meow!
